For your consideration…

Again, this message seems to have been incubating for more than a week until it wanted to be born today. Just like as yesterday with “gratitude and generosity”, today “love and light” are linked….permanently. Where there is one, there is always the other.

That is the first part of the message. The second and most important part of the message tells us that love and light ALWAYS trumps evil and darkness. ALWAYS.

We know this. We  have heard it many times before. Why are we given the message again today?

It’s simple. There is much anger and hate swirling around us. Worse yet people feel self-righteous and justified. This is the very worse case scenario. People as listening to their (and other people’s) egos and letting them pat them on the back and encourage them. “I must stand up for what I believe is right.”

We must ask ourselves where our outrage is coming from. Is the ego rendering judgment and leading us astray? Or is our outrage coming from our authentic self? We are reminded to be careful because if we are feeling anger, it is not love and therefore can not be coming from our authentic self.

Can both our ego and authentic self be working at the same time. Absolutely, they almost always are. But we have a choice, we always have a choice. Do we let the ego or authentic self take charge? Do we let darkness and hate dictate our actions? Or do we let love and light dictate?

We live in a very patriarchical world. How has that been going for us? We can change it. We can empower the feminine energy and unleash it into the world. As women, we are more inclined to nurture. What does nurturing need? Light and love. Think about it. Very few things grow in darkness. Add neglect and hate and that eliminates almost everything.

We are asked to curb our anger, silence our angry voices. Replace them with our love and our light. Let all our actions be done with love and light. Let all of our words be kind and full of love and HOPE. It is not only a suggestion. It is the only solution.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Share your love and shine your light on all of your thoughts, words and deeds.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A great mindfulness class.

-Vickie came with me again and our friend Sue joined us.

-We stayed and visited with Sue and shared our Bill’s hot dogs, root beer and salads with her.

-A good book.

Love, Blesings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
