For your consideration…

When we were children my mom used to say, “Get outdoors and let the stink blow off you.” She just wanted all of the kids out of the house. Perhaps you have your own stories of playing outdoors when you were a child.

Our message today tells us that playing outdoors is not just for children. It is for people of all ages. We need Mother Earth and Father Sky for our physical and mental health. Planning to spend time outdoors after we get all other tasks down is backwards thinking. Spending time with Mother Nature should be a priority. Putting our hands and feet in the dirt, grass or sand grounds us.

“If your want to lift your spirit, you have to ground your soul.

That’s why your ‘sole’ is on the bottom of your feet.”

Alexis Brooks

We are asked to prioritize spending time outdoors each and every day.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all.”

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Put your bare feet on Mother Earth.

-Drink lots of water.

What made me smile yesterday….

-I slept 10 hours. I can not remember when that has happened.

-While waiting at Shannon’s for Kenya to be done, I sat in the sun, wrote the blog and read.

-Nails done and the gym done.

-Talking to both my girls. Both are happy.

-Catching up with Jackie.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
