Wind Beneath My Wings

Written by Jeff Silbar and Larry Henley

(in part)

Did you ever know that you’re my hero,
And everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
For you are the wind beneath my wings.
It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
But I’ve got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it.
I would be nothing without you.
Did you ever know that you’re my hero?
You’re everything I wish I could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle,
For you are the wind beneath my wings.
Did I ever tell you you’re my hero?
You’re everything, everything I wish I could be.
Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle,
For you are the wind beneath my wings,
’cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
For your consideration…..
I love today’s message. It came in via one of my favorite songs of all time. While I have only included some of the words, every word in this song is meaningful and beautiful.
We are reminded today that we get to fill in the blanks on who the “YOU” is. Certainly for many of us, it is God, our angels and our Guidance. And sometimes it is other people; our friends, our parents, a co-worker, a stranger, our brothers and sisters or other relatives. Throughout our lives people have played intrigue parts to help us achieve who we are. Each and every one of them has been the wind beneath our wings, our heroes. As they teach us we pattern ourselves like them to become better and grow. And HOPEfully we in turn are other people’s heroes.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Drink lots of water.
What made me smile yesterday…
-So I know better but did I get shower invites done early…no.  Consequently, we are in Mercury Retrograde and I can not begin to tell you the hoops I have had to jump through to get them done. Ahhh, I think I am finally there, knock on wood.
-Breakfast with friends, Mary and don.
-Dinner with Pam. We had so much to catch up on and it was to fun.
-I went to meet Jeff and Pam’s new puppy….beyond cute. How can you not smile with all that cuteness making your heart sing.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
