Never Gonna Let You Down (in part)
When you’re feeling low
And you just don’t know where to run to
If your heart’s been broke
And you feel like you’re all alone
If you need something to believe in
If you’re looking for a light to guide you home
Just look inside
You’re light a shining brighter than you know
You should know
I will make you laugh
If you ever feel like crying
I will hold you close
You won’t be alone anymore
If you need someone to believe in
If you’re reaching for a hand to guide you home
Just take my hand and I won’t let you go
I hope you know

Don’t be afraid, I’ll always guide you home

You should know
I’m never gonna let you down
I’m always gonna build you up
And when you’re feeling lost
I will always find you love
I’m never gonna walk away
I’m always gonna have your back
And if nothing else you can always count on that
When you need me
I promise I will never let you down
Songwriters: Kenneth B. Edmonds / Colbie Caillat / Brett James / Jason Bradford Reeves

For your consideration….

You know I love when messages come in via a song. As usual, I only recognize a few of the words but it is enough for me to pull up the lyrics. No matter what the writers’ intention was, today this songs words are brought to our attention to reference our authentic self.

We are reminded today that our authentic self is always…always…there for us. It is there when we are feeling low. It is there when we don’t know where to run to or our heart is broke. It is there for when we need a light to guide us. It is there to make us laugh and hold us close so we do not feel alone. It is there to always guide us home and build us up. Our authentic self is never going to walk away. It will always have our back and we can always count on that.

Our authentic self is our cheerleader. It is our Guidance. It always has our best interest. It knows our path and how to lead us there. It holds no judgment and always loves us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A chill relaxing morning.

-Nick, Kathy, Bruce and I took dinner out to our kids and grandkids. It was a low key and fun afternoon.

-An early bedtime.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
