For your consideration…

It is officially spring so today’s message is so appropriate. Our message today tells us to cleanse our spirit to create the space of possibility.

We are inundated with messages, stuff 24/7. As hard as we try, it is impossible to filter each and every message before we let it into our soul. We miss lots of stuff. If the “stuff” is positive, HOPEful and loving, it is still good. But sometimes it is negative and slips in and dims the light of our soul.

I have mentioned before how when my little ones come and say,

“Mrs, Adams, Suzie Q said ________ and hurt my feelings.”

I always respond the same way. I touch their little ear lobes and say,

“Who’s ears are these?”

“Mine.”

I touch their little heads and say,

“Who’s head are they attached to?”

“Mine.”

And then I hand their power back to them, “YOU get to decide if what you hear is nice, true, right or good. If it is not, you get through it out. Those are your ears on your head.”

Of course, this is good advice if we are conscious enough at the time that it is happening. As adults, the circumstances, time etc. get in our way and we let “stuff” go.

So today we are reminded to hit the pause button and use that time we are creating for ourselves to let the negativity bubble up. Look at it and ask, “Is it true?” If it isn’t, let it go. If it is true, decide how we can fix it or counter act. Sometimes we can’t and we have to give it the energy it demands then count it as a lesson and let it go.

When we clean our soul, we create space for new possibilities, opportunities, lessons and growth.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Cleanse your soul.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Spring is here!

-A fun spring project with the kindergartners.

-A half day, so I had a slow and easy morning.

-A good long night’s sleep.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
