For your consideration…

Today’s message is significant and persistent. It came in right on the heals of yesterday’s message. Yet it was clear that while it was related, it needed to be a separate message. It needs to stand on its own. When normally I have to write things down because I can not remember, not so with this message. It has stuck with me from early yesterday morning, through the day and night and into today.

In the physical world being locked up, chained up or confined is punishment. We recognize this loss of freedom as something that is or would be horrible and something we never want. We dread the thought. We can not stand the thought of what it would be like.

Our message today tells us to hold that/those thoughts. Pause. Think about it. Spiritual and mental chains are every bit as confining and horrible, perhaps even more so. Spiritual and mental chains stint our growth. They keep us from accepting our blessings and opportunities.

What are the chains on our spirit and mind? Fear, judgment, doubt, the “lacks.” The lack in faith, HOPE, trust, belief to name a few.

The chains that bind our spirit and mind confine us to the demands of our ego. We are asked today to pause, reflect and decide to break those chains. Indeed we have the keys to them. It is up to us to free ourselves.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Get outdoors, seek the outdoors, spend time outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water.

-Free yourself.

What made me smile yesterday….

-An easy day with high schoolers. Fun.

-We went to dinner with Debbie and Bob.

-Warmer weather and sunshine. Ohhh, the HOPE of it.

-A good book and long night’s sleep.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
