For your consideration….

Today’s message has made me start the day chuckling because it has just been bizarre how it came in. Every time I turned around, I got another piece or affirmation.

Remember the song, The Gambler? Yeah, well some of those words are part of today’s message. “You’ve got to know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em, know when to walk away and know when to run.”

Perseverance and patience seem like opposites. They seem like opposite sides of the same coin. The reality is, we need to have both. Knowing when to use them is the key.

We need to accept obstacles for what they are; a delay in timing to a more perfect time, a forced pause to reevaluate if this is the right plan, time to get more of our ducks in a row, time to get the perfect people in the right place etc.

We are reminded to not be discouraged when our plan does not happen as we HOPE. Consider that Divine Timing is playing intervention for our highest good and the highest good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Divine Timing is mine.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-First graders. They have come so far. We forget how much our brains are capable of until we see how much a child learns each and every day.

-Sunshine. I came out of class and it was still light. I loved that but I still am having a hard time adjusting to the time change. It seems like it get harder and harder.

-A bargain.

-Belly laughing with another teacher. During a “brain break” the students were doing some exercising. One of them was to bend over and then do a little jump. When Mollie did that, she came down on her long hair and perceived herself as stuck and not able to stand up. Ultimately, she decided that all she could do is fall over.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
