For your consideration….

We have had messages before about contrasts. While I don’t remember what they were about, I am clear on what we are supposed to consider with today’s message. When I was searching for picture of contrasts, the picture of “Christ the Redeemer” in Rio de Janerio came up. I choose it because it was a stark contrast to the picture I took when I visited it. The one on the left is the one I took. When I first went up to the monument, it was so foggy you could not see any of it. Then like a miracle, the fog lifted for a few moments so that we could see him.

Perhaps you have heard the saying, “You don’t know what you had until its gone.”

Today’s message reminds us that we know what we have by the contrast of its loss. Whether it is a friendship, relationship, wealth, home, job, family, all too often we realize its full value when we have lost it or it has changed.

We are being asked to consider two things. First focusing on loss it the complete and utter wrong thing to do. We are manifestors and should always focus on our blessings. Focusing on the value of what we had/have is where our attention should be. Focusing on the potential of what is in front of us will lead us to our next step.

This can be hard when we are in pain or suffering disappointment. Our message today does not minimize this but we are reminded of what is consistent in our lives….what we always have and can never be taken away….gifts from God. First is his love.

Second is his gift of every sunrise and sunset. Each sunset reminds us of an ending, a close. But we do not have to worry, because tomorrow’s will bring a new beginning full of potential, opportunities, gifts and love should we choose to accept them. We have a choice. We always have a choice.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Affirm, “I am loved.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Focus on our blessings. Appreciate what we do have.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Hard to believe but Cathy’s plane arrived on time. We met up in the Houston airport. Then once again our plane left Houston on time.

-So fun to see Cathy’s reaction to the little “puddle jumper” that took us from Roatan to Utila.

-Everyone was soooo helpful to us.

-Our little beach shack is rustic. It has everything we need and the private beach is spectacular.

-Peace.

-Amazingly, Bruce was determined and finally able to get a hold of me. I am sure he made our daughter, Alex, nuts but he was able to do it.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
