For your consideration….

While I am writing this late, this message came in this morning before I left my bed on the wings of two songs, “Listen to Your Heart” and “How Will I Know.”

Both these songs speak to the questioning and doubting of love. While they both tend to be referencing romantic love, our message broadens it to any love.

In both new and old relationships, we can question the love. Actions and words may let our brain and/or heart question love. We may seek the advice of family, friends or even professionals. We crave to know the status of the love in a relationship.

We replay actions done or words said and ask ourselves, “Would someone who loves me do this?” Our brain tells us “No.” But our heart is not so sure.

Our message today tells us that only our heart knows the status of love. We are asked to listen to our heart. We do not have to give up on love because it does not respond the way we HOPE or think it should. We can not possibly walk in another’s shoes. We do not know all of the doubts, fears and burdens they carry.

Does this mean we should be a “doormat?” No, of course not. Our message today is simply telling us that, our heart knows the truth and status of love. We need to listen to our heart.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Listen to your heart.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Great kids.

-My little Sophie was so excited about seeing the new Star Wars the night before.

-I found some new jeans for my husband. Somehow what used to be so easy has turned into a challenge. So we are very excited that he loves these ones.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
