For your consideration….

So what would happen if we had the time or inclination to look through the eyes of another? Could this message be more timely?

Today’s message is a suggestion. The first step is to even consider pausing and trying. The next step is to do it.

We are asked to consider being an “observer.” Notice why another feels the way they do. What framed that feeling? Notice that we are not asked to do anything else. So what is the point.

When we see and HOPEfully feel another’s perspective, the ball is bounced back into our court. What does it do for us? Perhaps it changes our own perspective. Most often it will aid in our understanding and allow us to make better decisions. We may decide to not argue or try to persuade them to our perspective. We may decide to alter our approach. At minimum we are giving respect through our active listening.

Too often we are not hearing each other through the passionate shouting. There is no reason to shout. It costs us nothing to listen respectively. We do not have to change our own perspective unless we want to. Our power is our own. No one can take it unless we choose to let them.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Consider looking through the eyes of another.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Our young 5’s.

-Taking them on a walk through the woods.

-A trip to The Scrap Box…first time in a long time.

-So excited to be going to see my Sis, Brother and Uncle.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
