Our Children

For your consideration….

Children are precious gifts…all children are precious gifts….created by the Creator and placed exactly where they need to be for our care.

We have had messages about children before but today’s is very specific. Our message today tells us that children are a gift to us all not just their parents. When they cross our paths, we have an obligation to be our best self. When they cross our path we are gifted with an opportunity and obligation.

When children cross our path, we have the opportunity to see the world through their eyes. If we let them, they can remind us of the child that still lives within ourselves; the child that believes in all things possible. We can see the wonder and joy in the smallest of things. We can see the curiosity and willingness to learn.

When children cross our path we also have an obligation. Most often we do not have any idea on what their life is like “behind closed doors.” We do know what they are exposed to on TV and the social media. We are bombarded with negativity and our children are not spared. They experience it as well. It is our job…all of our jobs…to take every opportunity we can and be a positive, HOPEful and loving example. It is our job to protect their HOPE, creativity and love. It is our job to make them feel like the special, unique and wonderful child they are.

We are asked today not let any opportunity slip by with any child that crosses our path.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water.

-Be the wonderful example and mentor every child needs no matter how big or small the interaction.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A chill morning.

-A little tour around town with Jody.

-Big Boys for lunch and Gabriel’s for dinner.

-A good book.
