For your consideration….

When I was growing up, the sixth sense was associated with psychics and the “woo woo” stuff. We were not encouraged to pursue it or learn about it. As I grow older and more curious, I read, met with “psychics” etc. I came to realize that like in everything else there phonies and then there is the real deal. The real deals are not for show. They are aids for spiritual growth.

The reality is that all of us…every one of us….has a sixth sense. We tap into it with practiced meditation and prayer. But that is not the only time. Sometimes our sixth sense kicks in as a warning. We get that feeling that something is not quite right. Even if we don’t know what is “off” we know that something is. Or we get “feelings” about people. Something doesn’t quite ring true or the opposite, we feel a strong connection to them even if we don’t think we have met before.

All living things have a sixth sense. Plants know when it is too early to bloom even if it should be time. Animals use their sixth sense as their first sense. They always follow it. And so should we.

We should always pay attention to our sixth sense, those little bells or the feelings we get in the pit of our stomach. We know the alerts. They have been with us always and will stay with us always.

Today’s message reminds us that our sixth sense is a gift. Listen to it. Trust it. Always.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Trust and use your sixth sense.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A day in Washington State Park with Alex, AJ and Mackenzie.

-Perfect weather to sit by the lake and read or lay in the hammock.

-I have to ask. AJ is always hungry. We need meals between meals.

-Playing euchre after dinner.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
