For your consideration….
Today’s message is simple. It is a statement of fact. We can debate it if we choose. We always have a choice. But it will not change the spiritual truth of love.
Our message today is exactly this, “Love is the measuring stick by which all else is measured. Love is forever.”
Love never dies. It is carried from one lifetime to another.
So our argument might be about lost love, love that left us hurt such as in a breakup or divorce of a friendship or marriage . The answer is the same. Love never dies. True love imprints our soul. That is why we hurt when the breakups happen.
We are told today that breakups are the same as physical deaths. The situation changes but that does not negate the love. We hurt because we miss the way we interacted in that love. It behooves us to put our focus on the love versus on the hurt. It behooves us to be grateful that we were given the love. We are forever changed by it.
Love does not just measure relationships between people. It measures our relationship with all things ie; the Universe, Mother Earth, food, exercise, paper, pens/pencils, traveling, pets, birds, fish, coffee, water etc. etc. etc……all things big and small. They were gifted to us. They are blessings. It is our love that measures them and defines who we are.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Accept the love gifted to you and rejoice
What made me smile yesterday…..
-A trip to Friday Harbor with Mac and AJ.
-Watching the two of them throw out ideas for gifts for their parents and then concensing on the perfect ones.
-Lunch at the rebuilt Downrigger.
-A couple of good euchre games.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
