For your consideration….

“We must look beyond the shadows to see what is real.”

That is our message today. Shadows can be fun to play with. They can be spooky. No matter the circumstances or how we feel they are just shadows and are not concrete. They are not true reflections on what is real. The circumstances determine how close to a true reflection they are. What is real, is what is casting the shadow. That is what we need to focus on.

The shadow is an analogy for life. Sometimes we get hung up on the “shadow” and forget to look at what is real. Sometimes we focus on the faces people put forward and not their authentic self. Sometimes we do the same for ourselves. Sometimes we do this for convenience. It certainly is easier. Sometimes we do it out of fear. We are afraid of truth. But we are reminded today that authentic truth comes from the authentic self. It is based in pure love. We have nothing to fear from the reality of our authentic self.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Look at what is real….behind the shadows.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Spending the day watching Mackenzie play softball in a tournament. She is awesome.

-The second person in the last few weeks recommended a store that I had tried once but didn’t go back because it was “dumpy.” Shannon told me they had cleaned the one by us up. I went and the buys were great and it was indeed cleaned up.

-Dinner and a good book before….

-…and early bedtime. It was a great day.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
