For your consideration…

Ahhh consequences, you love them or hate them. There are a couple of things we need to remember about them.

First, our consequences are a direct result of our choices and then actions.

Therefore the second thing we have to remember is that we can not control other people’s consequences because just as our consequences of our actions are ours, their consequences are a result of their choices and actions.

Now we may not like this but that is just how life works.

It may seem that this is a contradiction of things like charity, helping others. But it is not. Because when we decide to volunteer, do good…be a lightworker….we are making a choice. The consequence is that those we seek to help have the choice to accept the consequences of our actions….or not. Their consequences are a result of their choice.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water. It helps cleanse the body and mind.

-Remember there are consequences for every action.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-My favorite kindergarteners.

-I love this story about them. William during doing his work comments, “I go to a black church.”

Luna replies, “I go to a blue one.”

William exclaims with awe, “I didn’t know there were blue people.”

-Dinner with other teachers.

-I went to bed laughing after this exchange with my husband.

Bruce, “Chris, do you think Shannon still has the receipt for those shorts?”

Me, “I’ll text her and ask her to bring it Saturday.” I do and read it back to him. It has a comment about him being a “growing boy” made him chuckle.

But he replies this, “I don’t see why no one just talks to one another. Those texts are like sending “smoke signals.”

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
