For your consideration….

Most of us love spring. We can’t wait for it to get here. Then it does and often we feel overwhelmed because spring is busy.

I used to think it was because I had children in school. As the school year ended, new sports ended before the old ones had not quite ended. There were school concerts, programs and award ceremonies. All which were on top of the normal activities.

When my children were grown, I was shocked that spring was still busy and sometimes overwhelming. Why I have to ask?

Today’s message tells us that spring is a time for new beginnings and growth. It is a time for planting. As new ideas and tasks come forth we add them to our already full plate. It is right. It is what is supposed to happen.

But….of course, there is a but….not every idea or task is meant to be there. Sometimes we the ideas or tasks are not ours to keep. Sometimes they are for others. Sometimes they are ours but not meant to be put on our plate at this moment. They are meant to “germinate” for a while and planted later when we have the “time and talent” to nurture them.

Today we are asked to pause and ask ourselves, “What needs to be on my plate right now?” “What is meant for later?” “What is not mine to keep?” In essence we are being asked to “clean up our plate” and eliminate the stress so that we can enjoy the spring we have been so excited to come.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Clean your plate up.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Nails done.

-Flower shopping done and front porch complete.

-A great new plant from Mary.

-A great afternoon at Mac’s softball game with Shannon.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
