For your consideration….

I love that this is today’s message. We are asked to think about picnics and life.

I think most of us think of picnics as special. We don’t do them everyday but we sometimes treat ourselves to them. And that is the key to today’s message. We are reminded to pause and treat ourselves. We are asked to step out of our “ordinary” and change things us.

Go someplace new. Try new foods and experiences. Meet new people. The thing about picnics as they can be anything we want them to be; fancy or casual, close by or far. We can buy food to take or make our own. We can play games or snooze…or both. We can go on our own or with people. We can take music or relish the silence. It can be indoors or outside.

Whatever picnic we create is perfect. It is exactly right for us. Take a break. Go on a picnic.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Treat yourself.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A “go with the flow” day with my sister and brother.

-Helping our sister’s family with Hannah and Josh’s graduation.

-We had lots of fun and lots of laughs.

-An early bedtime for a busy Saturday.

Love, Blessings and gratitude,

Rev. Chris
