For your consideration….

Children, our country, the elderly….we need to defend and protect them. Today’s message is not about that. Today’s message is about our defensive communication behavior in our everyday life.

Defensiveness…..we all have been there experiencing it both in ourselves and others. Today we are asked to examine it and ask the question why?

If we are comfortable with who we are, our beliefs and values, our decisions, our behavior etc., there is no need to be defensive. When we are working in/with our authentic self, there is not need to justify ourselves. When we are working our truth, there is no need to defend ourselves.

Our message today offers up this for us to consider, “Whenever there is defensive behavior, there is a crack in the validity of truth.” Simply put, if it has to be defended, we should be looking for the reason it can not stand on its own.

Whether we are on the defensive or feeling defensive we are asked to pause and figure out the why.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE, action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-There is no need to feel defensive so if we are, figure out the why.

What made me smile yesterday……

-A beautiful warm sunny day in California.

-A great conversation with James and Alex.

-I love the girls concerns over Dad as demonstrated by the texts.

-Lunch with Jack.

-Dinner with the family….lots of laughter and fun.

-Feeling grateful for so many things.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
