For your consideration……

What a great message we have for a Monday morning! Set the bar high!

We are all familiar about honoring dreams, setting goals and manifesting. We know about setting stretch goals. Today’s message refers us to what we know and invites us to “drill down” and apply it to today….and each day one at a time.

Inherent to setting goals and manifesting, is our own personal power. Our personal power is the at the core of setting our bar. We have to own our power to set the bar. Convenient as it may sometimes be, we can not delegate defining or setting the bar on our goals.

The second part of today’s message tells us that we tend to think of setting the bar on our goals with a long-term lens. Today we are asked to set the bar for each and every day. Then pause and consider raising it a little bit higher. Perhaps we won’t quite reach it but we will grow and definitely be farther than we would otherwise be.

Each and every day we can decide to brighten other people’s day with our energy, smiles and laughter. We can decide that our work and us in it is going to be productive and inspiring. We can decide to remember that whatever the weather, it is exactly perfect. In fact, we can decide to remember that each moment we find ourselves in is perfect. We can decide to make the most out of every part of our day. We can decide to be patient. We can decide to not let people/things get under our skin. We can decide that problems are not problems but challenges and opportunities instead. We can decide to ask our ego to step down and listen to our authentic self. Setting our bar should be very specific to where we are in our life today.

We are asked to find a moment to pause at the beginning of each day (ie; before we get up, in meditation or pray, while we brush our teeth, while we are driving to work etc.) and set the bar for our day.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Set your bar high….then raise it.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Lots of time outdoors.

-Shopping and DQ….seems like the season.

-A great family gathering at Regina’s.

-A good book to finish off the evening.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
