For your consideration….

We have had messages before about stepping out of our comfort zone and about our potential etc. So today’s message is along the lines of those messages. However, it is much more specific.

Today’s message reminds us that we have many roles in life. And within those roles we have roles. Confused? Yeah, it took me a minute too. In whatever role we are in ie; parent, child, friend, partner, employee, employer, neighbor, survivor, teammate etc., we at any given time play a different role. Sometime we are a listener. Sometimes we are the speaker. Sometimes we are the care giver. Sometimes we need to be cared for. Sometimes we are the planner. Sometimes we are the doer. Sometimes we are both things at once.

Our message today tells us that often we are very comfortable in the roles we are in and uncomfortable “rocking the boat.” We like things how they are but we need to step out of the comfort zone. We need to step up into a different role. We need to step up because we are needed in a new role. We need to step up to grow.

When we need to step up and really don’t want to, or fear too, that is exactly when we need to do it because the stagnation is silently and stealthily stealing our power. You see, we can lose our power without someone taking it or us giving it away. We can lose our power by cocooning ourselves and fear in our comfort zone.

We are asked today step up when we are called….when it is our turn.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Take a page out of Mother Nature’s book and be fearless and step up.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A little pampering.

-Catching up with Jackie, Alex and my Sister.

-My uncle’s 90th birthday party came off without a hitch. Wish I could have been there.

-I keep laughing whenever I think about Saturday. While we were out to dinner, Bob, Bruce and I were talking about taxes. Ugh. When we ordered our food. I told my husband, Bruce, that I would once again be paying for dinner. It would be the last of the money I owed him on his upcoming credit card bill. He responds, “Well that is pretty wifely of you. Don’t think you could help with the tax bill too?”

“Actually, I thought I would give you $1000.” I told him.

He was shocked and told me, “Wow, Honey, you are going to get extra wife points. Lots of them.”

Later that evening after we had been home awhile, he came out to the kitchen and said. “Chris, I just realized it is April Fool’s Day. That $1000 wasn’t an April Fool’s joke, was it?”

“NO.” I laughed. I have laughed every day since then whenever I think about it.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
