Most of us are very very busy. We have stacked tasks and appointments. Women especially are master multi-taskers. Many of us wear that title as though it were a medal. And we should be proud of our accomplishments. We should take credit for them.
The problem comes in when the juggling becomes the goal. What is the saying? “Win the battle but lose the war.” We get so focused on the juggling, we lose focus on what is really important. We lose focus on the why. We lose focus on our dreams. And we lose focus on the concept of “infinite possibilities.” Because you see, that requires stillness. That requires a pause.
I always joke that when I have my daughters in the car, I have a captive audience. Stillness works the same way. When we are still, we are a captive audience. It is when we are the most open for help, guidance and those “infinite possibilities” that are way beyond our imagination. and dreams.
It is my HOPE you regularly make time to be still.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, hope by hope action steps anyone can take…..
-Be still, meditate for as long as you can. If it isn’t working in the morning, do it in the evening. Or pause, for a few moments after lunch.
-Journal your dreams both from the conscious and dream state.
-Drink lots of water.
-Go for a walk.
