For your consideration….

Crutches are tools for us to use when we are injured physically or emotionally. Today’s message is about emotional injury or pain.

We all need a crutch(s) at one time or another. We encounter something in our life that is just too difficult to bear. Perhaps is isn’t pain at all but confusion and we can not clearly see  our direction.

The crutches that we need are different for each of us and different for each situation. Sometimes we need that friend to listen to us or a shoulder to cry on. Sometimes we need to be alone. Sometimes we need distraction while other times silence. Sometimes we need to bury ourselves in work and other times we need to take a vacation. Sometimes we need professional help to help us sort things out.

Our message today reminds us to use crutches when  we need them. They will help speed up our recovery. However, we are reminded that crutches are meant to be temporary. They are meant to help us until we can stand up on our own and charge back into our life.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Seek help when you need it. Give others help when they need it.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A beautiful day to have brunch with Shannon, Peanut and AJ.

-A stroll around Ann Arbor getting some gifts I needed.

-People eating on outdoor patios….in Michigan…in February.

-Sitting on my front porch reading a book in short sleeves.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
