For your consideration….

I love today’s message for a couple of reasons. First because I so strongly believe it and second because I feel this is an affirmation for sticking with that belief.

Our message is exactly this, “The solution is never to lower the bar. It is to raise it higher.”

Political correctness (PC) is rampant throughout our society. We keep lowering the bar so no one feels left out. We minimize achievement and winning so that no one gets their feelings hurt. The examples go on and on. While the intentions are noble most of the time, they are a band-aid. The reality is that PC has provided mask or shield to hide behind. It covers up the real problems. What is covered up and shielded from the light can never be healed.

What is real need no shelter. It never needs to be hidden. “Losing, inadequacy, shame etc.” are feelings  that are only valid if we validate them. The reality is that we are all exactly who we are meant to be and fully equipped for our life purpose. Doing our best makes us a winner, more than adequate and proud.” The score doesn’t count but how we play the game does.

We are reminded that we get what we expect. Therefore lowering the bar is not going to help anyone. Raising the bar….for everyone…is good for everyone. We are reminded to celebrate the intention and the effort with belief, HOPE, faith, kindness and determination.

That is the HOPE. and so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Raise the bar. Expect more.

What made me smile  yesterday….

-Lori’s great students.

-A funny text message from Kathleen.

-Peanut and her team played a great basketball game.

-Nick is doing better.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
