For your consideration….

All of us have spoken angry words and had angry words spoken to us. Today’s message wants us to consider what we do about them.

Consider when we have been the deliverer of them. Perhaps, we wish we could take them back. Perhaps, we wish they had come out differently. We can apologize and HOPE that the damage is minimal and not lasting. We HOPE that the history of our actions far out weighs our outburst. We HOPE that the totality of who we are over powers the brief moments we “lost it.”

Now consider flipping the coin. When angry words have been used against us, carefully consider the totality and history of who that person really is.

How we handle anger speaks to who we are. It is about how respectful, loving and HOPEfull we are.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Put anger in context.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Wonderful, funny, loving students.

-A beautiful warm sunny day.

-Spending time with family.

-It’s the last day until my baby comes for a visit.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
