“In Zen even the most mundane objects are things of wonder, and the fact that we are alive is biggest wonder of all.”

G. Fontana

For your consideration….

If we can not handle the mundane, why should it be expected we can handle the bigger events of life?

The mundane lays the ground work. It is the prep we need to be successful. How we handle and master the mundane is indicative of how we handle the bigger events in life.

We have a choice on what we bring to the mundane. We can choose to bring joy, enthusiasm and passion. We can choose to be our very best.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray….ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Welcome the mundane. Make it the most it can be.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-First graders that I had as kindergarteners. They are sooooo grown up and soooo much easier.

-A little help from  my Guidance. I was talking to Jackie on the phone about reading devices. I was stuck in traffic on the freeway. As I went to talk about needing an eye exam, I remember that I had an appointment in about 10 minutes. I was stuck exactly at the exit I needed to get off at. I made it with a couple of minutes to spare. Wahoo. Thank you to my angels.

-I think we are peak fall colors. Everywhere I go is beautiful.

-Shannon sent me a great video of a Virginia Tech coach talking to his players about the national anthem.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
