“Reason and Love are sworn enemies.”  Pierre Cornielle

For your consideration……

Real love comes from the soul. The brain and ego are not involved in true love. True love has no….needs no….reason. It simply is.

So when people we love disappoint us or hurt us, we have to ask what is hurt. Is it our ego or our soul? Then we have to ask was it their ego or their soul that hurt us and was it intentional. Did they mean to or are they completely unaware?

You see, sometimes people wound us and do not know it. They simply didn’t mean to.

So we are left with what to do. Do we initiate a dialog, perhaps fight, to try to resolve our hurt? Or do we just let it go? Until we do a  deep dive and answer the above questions, figure out what is hurt and true intention, we are not prepared to take action.

Love can be tough but it is the only thing that is real. We need to cherish it and give it the care it deserves.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots not of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Think about love.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Mud puddles and kids.

-We asked our kiddos how many people were here today. One of our precious little girls points her index finger, like most of us do and starts to count. But I had to laugh because rather that just point and count, she points and her little finger and bends it, brings it up and counts for every student. It was so funny to watch her little “hinge” working as she counted.

-Catching up with Alex, Jackie and Lori.

-It was a long trip to the cottage. Thinking we would be too tired to go back out, we called ahead for Raft burgers. We were not disappointed.

-A good book, fire, gentle rain and wind chimes.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
