For your consideration…

Life is daunting, some days more than others. Tasks are daunting, some more than others.

The above picture is from the Amazing Race. It is deceptive but proves a point. Notice that both people are smiling. What you don’t see in this picture is that the man is terrified of heights and the path they are on is very narrow. His partner keeps telling him he can do this.

It is a sure thing that we are going to face daunting life experiences. Our message today gives us tips on how to be prepared for them. First and foremost we check out language. I am reminded of words we tell our incoming kindergartners. “We don’t say, “I can’t (or won’t).” We say, “I can’t yet.” We say, “I will try.” “We say I will learn to.”

When we use those “n’t” words, we open the door to failure and darkness. When we say “I can, will or will try,” we open the door to succeeding and light. We invite light to overcome the darkness and success to overcome failure. Everything looks less daunting in the light.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Pay attention to our language. Is it encouraging, grateful and HOPEful?

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Only positive, informational shows. No News.

-Sunshine.

-Catching up on tasks AND making good plans for new ones.

-It is all good.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
