For your consideration…..

Today’s message came in a very unusual way. My attention was drawn to two very special people in my life, Rosie and Jack. Rosie passed a couple of years ago and yet I felt her very present today. Jack is my nephew in California. He and Rosie never met. Yet today they are pulled in as a team for today’s message. Why, I asked? What do these two have in common in my life?

The answer was very clear and one I realized immediately. Both Rosie and Jack are hyper-focused listeners. Whoever they are talking or listening to has their full attention. Their eyes are like lasers and once they put them eyes on you, you are locked in to the conversation with them. You feel like you are in a bubble with them while the world goes on around you. In that bubble you feel special, important, interesting and loved.

Jack and Rosie have a gift for listening that they were probably born with. But they are an example that we all can strive to. We can all learn to be hyper-focused listeners.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be a good listener. Practice it.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Alex and her cousin meeting up in Japan of all places.

-A great school day.

-A good book.

-Catching up with Cathy and Jackie.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
