For your consideration…..

We are already bombarded about news on the environment but relax today’s message is not about global warming. It is about our personal environment, our personal space.

It is vital to our health…our body, mind and spirit….that the environment that we are in is conducive to what we are trying to achieve. Let me give you and example I often see in one of the schools I teach at. One or two disruptive students contaminate the learning experience for the rest of the class. The constant attention necessary to contain their behavior takes a third to a half of the time the class meets. It is totally unfair to the other students.

I am sure you have also volunteered or even had a job where there are negative people who are always complaining. All too often they contaminate the whole project or working environment. I remember  I quit volunteering for an organization because there was so much in-fighting. The head of the organization was a phenomenal woman and had done great things but the organization could not decide how it wanted to grow and there was constant malcontent that completely tarnished the organization.

When there is discord at home, home takes on all new vibes. It is not the sanctuary that it is supposed to be. Friendships can also change. People change and while we HOPE that our friendship can adapt, sometimes it can not. We need to recognize that and be willing to let it go versus let it contaminate who we are and/or the friendship we once had.

Our message today tells us this that the environment we are in directly impacts not only our success but our health as well. We need to be in an environment that nurtures the goal. It needs to provide the space that allows us the freedom to be our best selves.

It is our responsibility to monitor the environment we are in. It is up to us to make the necessary changes to keep it positive. It is vital to our health.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask..”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water. It helps our physical health but also our mental health as well. It helps with our clarity.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be aware of your environment.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A great school day.

-Great texts from Shannon.

-Great Viper texts from Alex and pictures as well.

-A chill evening.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
