For your consideration……

We know that love is the way. We know that just as the tiniest bit of light drives out darkness so does the tiniest amount of love drive out hate. We know this. Loving people who are special to us is easy. Loving people who we are acquainted with is a little harder. Loving people we really don’t like or disagree with is very hard. So how do we do this? How do we love our enemies?

We do it through our love of God. When we are finding it difficult to love, we turn to God and let him carry our love for us until we can see our way clear to do it ourselves.

My favorite line in the Nicene Creed is the very first line. “I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.” In this one line, I am reminded of the magnitude of not only God, but his commitment to all things that are his. I don’t have to have everything figured out. I don’t have to be perfect. God is in charge, the maker and fixer of all things.

Our message today is this. When we are finding it difficult to love, when we feel hate, turn it over to God and let him carry your love for you until he can heal your heart and you can do it yourself.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Believe in the power of love.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Watching my grandson play basketball with his other grandparents,.

-So proud of my granddaughter. No complaining. She simply sat all morning and early afternoon and did homework before her basketball games.

-Both my girls are on vacation and chilling with people they love.

-I laughed at Tank, the kid’s dog, when he jumped up on the bed on top of Bruce. Bruce screamed and yelled making Tank pause as if to say, “Whoa look who woke up on the wrong side of the bed.”

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
