intuition

For your consideration…..

We have had messages before about intuition but as I sat with it, I can see why today we are getting it again.

We are like every other living thing. We have an internal sense or sixth sense. We tend to downplay it or, heaven forbid, even dismiss it. We used to honor it but over the centuries it has been given a bad name. It is that “woo woo” stuff. It is often mocked.

There are parts of the Domestic Violence Power and Control Wheel that reminds me of how this could happen. Our intuition is vital to us. It is from our soul. If we are to be controlled, then we must be separated from it. We need to be isolated from it, so it was minimized and mocked. We were made to feel that it was a curse versus a blessing. We were made to feel as though it could not be trusted. Over time our intuition became buried. Instead of being our best and first source, it became our last. And if we do listen to it and depend on it, we often do not share with others that this is the case.

Let it be clear. Our intuition is from our soul. It wants only what is the very best for us. It wants to keep us safe. It should always be the first place we go for answers. However, whether we have mastered that or not, there are times where our soul “screams” at us. We know because we get that feeling in the pit of our stomach that something is just not right. Sometimes we feel the hairs on the back of our neck stand up for no apparent reason but we sense danger. Or maybe we just can’t seem to get settled because we have can’t get the thought out of our head that we are missing something. Personally, I have all of these things but also the palms of my hands will feel as though they have energy coming through them. For me, that is a when I can know for sure that my soul needs to have center stage.

Think about it. Do we expect animals to ignore their instincts. Indeed we celebrate them for them. We are no different. More importantly, the times we live in do not afford us the luxury of ignoring our sixth sense, our soul’s voice.

We are asked today to listen to our heart, our soul, our intuition. Our well-being is its sole purpose.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Listen to your soul.

What made me smile yesterday……

-What 13-year-old girl do you know calmly comes downstairs and sets a mouse trap because there was a mouse in her closet when she opened the door? That would be my granddaughter, Mac.

-We had a great time at the movies.

-My own girls are both officially on vacation and having fun.

-Talking to my sister, two days in a row.

-I’m blessed.

Note: Americans have had a tough week. Unfortunately we realize it could have been much worse. Many many families are shattered here and in Paris by the terrorist acts in our countries. Please take another moment and pray for those God now holds and for those broken families they have left behind. Pray that they can feel the joy of love and HOPE. Pray that their soul soon finds comfort. That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
