This Little Light Of Mine

Songwriters: SCOTT, STEPHEN H. / DP,

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

I’m gonna take this light around the world and I’m gonna
let it shine.
I’m gonna take this light around the world and I’m gonna
let it shine.
I’m gonna take this light around the world and I’m gonna

let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

I won’t let anyone blow it out, I’m gonna let it shine.
I won’t let anyone blow it out, I’m gonna let it shine.
I won’t let anyone blow it out, I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Every day, every day, I’m going to let my little light
shine.

For your consideration….
If you are here, you are a light worker or you are being called to be one. Your light is your love and your truth. It is your authentic self.
When we act, hear, see, feel or listen from our authentic self, it is right. It is all good. We know this but do not always remember it.
Sometimes our ego runs interference and we start “filtering.” Speaking our truth is not “politically correct.” We are asked today to remember that the truth is always correct. It does not need approval from anyone. It can stand in its own light. We don’t have to stamp our feet, shout or argue about it because it IS.
That is not to say that we may be made to feel uncomfortable sometimes. It doesn’t mean there are not those who will attack it and try to demonize it. It means that the truth can withstand attack. It does not need a label because it is not a fad like “politically correct.” Think about it. Does politically correct seek to include or exclude? Does it seek discussion or sensor it? Can anything that has “political” in it’s title be coming from authentic self?
We are asked to remember that only the truth….authentic self truth….will do. The world needs it…one little light at a time….together can change the dialog of the world.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
What made me smile yesterday….
-Our TV’s and Dish have all been updated…..20 years in the making.
-Baking done for our club’s meeting tomorrow night….and delivered.
-A new recipe in a new appliance that was delicious.
-I saw a UTube video on making little receiving blankets that looked interesting. Since I have 2 new nieces on the way, I thought I would give it a try. First attempt is not perfect but pretty good and they are so cute.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
