night skyFor your considerations…

Blue Skies
I was blue, just as blue as I could be
Ev’ry day was a cloudy day for me
Then good luck came a-knocking at my door
Skies were gray but they’re not gray anymore

Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see

Bluebirds
Singing a song
Nothing but bluebirds
All day long

Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you’re in love, my how they fly

Blue days
All of them gone
Nothing but blue skies
From now on

I should care if the wind blows east or west
I should fret if the worst looks like the best
I should mind if they say it can’t be true
I should smile, that’s exactly what I do

Songwriters: IRVING BERLIN
Are you wondering about the dark picture and the song lyrics about blue skies?
Our message is about expectations. This picture was taken this morning out in my back yard. Venus is so bright next to the moon. She has greeted our mornings for the last couple of weeks. This morning Venus and the Moon were so clear. I expect to see bright and clear skies today.
There is more. We are told today that these beautiful skies and so much more are for us. We are asked to notice the gifts presented to us. Oh, but wait, there is still more. We are told that we are worthy of them.
Is that how we feel? Do we feel deserving? Are we focused on the “I am” or the “I am not?” Are we focused on gratitude for what “we have” or what “we have not?”
Our energy flow goes where our attention goes. We can expect to get more of whatever we are focusing on. Focus on the “I am and the I have.” Counter every negative thought with a positive.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Focus on gratitude. Notice all that you ARE and all the you HAVE.
What made me smile yesterday….
-I think Scott fixed my running toilet at Stillwater.
-Great 2nd graders.
-Catching up with Kerri. We are soooo excited.
-Back to basics. Washing dishes by hand with Bruce on drying duty. It is his first time. Training was required. At the end of literally maybe 7 minutes he says, “I say we eat out. You buy one night and I’ll buy the next  until the new dishwasher comes.” Seriously?
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
