For your consideration…..

Today is yet another example of how we receive messages. At first I thought I was dreaming. Then as I came out of a deep sleep state, I realized I was being awoken by an annoying bird. I looked and looked because this was a constant chirp unlike any birds I usually hear. I kept looking until I saw perched up on our roof a chipmunk. As I was debating whether or not to wake up my husband for a rescue attempt, I opened the door to let our dog out. And just that quickly the chipmunk scampered away. Hmmm, no rescue required. Later as I was meditating, the chipmunk came up again and I realized it was the call for today’s message.

Even though we have heard before and I have written to be alert to what is put in our path by our Guidance to get our attention, I still get surprised. So what is it about the call of the chipmunk today?

Right now we can see Mother Nature changing daily. We can see the animals preparing. We can see the chipmunks and squirrels busily gathering and preparing for the winter.

Our biggest season adjustments or changes are between spring and summer and summer and fall. Between these seasons we have lots of adjustments we need to prepare for ie; change of weather, preparing our homes inside and outside, starting schools, getting out of school, child care adjustments, schedule changes, classes and practices starting and/or ending, wardrobe and closet changes etc.

Fall is about finding balance between giving and receiving through preparation. Summer usually includes lots of fun and vacation. Today the chipmunk reminds us that through all of the scurrying about preparing for fall and winter, we need to remember to include fun and play. Indeed we need fun all year-long. We can’t let ourselves become to busy for it. It is a requirement for our balanced state.

Whew, that is good news!

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Remember, it is in the silence that we often hear the loudest.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Talking with Jackie and Lori

-I saw an interview of the 3 American young men who stopped the terrorist attack on a train bound for Paris a few weeks ago. There is nothing funny about the event or the intention of it. Still, these young men made me smile and chuckle. HOPE exemplified.

-Ahhh, the weekend.

-PJ’s at 5:00 pm and just chilling.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
