For your consideration…..

I had another beautiful “shadow” picture of a beautiful river and cliffs but I scraped it for this one. We are asked to pause for a moment. What feelings does the above picture invoke? Is is mystery, darkness or light? Is it happiness, sadness or trepidation? What was the first thingĀ  you noticed? What were you drawn to?

Today’s message talks about shadows. We are told that shadows are “light playing.” Shadows are light’s highlighters. You see there can be no shadows without light. Shadows are instruments of the light.

This is important because all to often we feel fearful of shadows. All to often they are portrayed as sinister. Today we realize that is not true because they come from light and light comes from spirit.

We have heard many times before that our Guidance is available 24/7. They are always with us ready to give us council through words, actions, people, animals, flowers etc. that they put in our path to try to grab our attention or send us a message or alert us.

Shadows are just that. Shadows are shown to us to grab our attention. They are highlights of something we need to pay attention to. So just like we did in the picture, when we notice a shadow, we are asked to pause and see what is being highlighted for us. Pay particular attention to what immediately jumps in your head. Don’t second judge. Instead ask, “Is there anything more?” If you do not understand, ask questions?

If it is your own shadow, why is it being shown to you? It it reminding you that you are not alone? Is it a foreshadow of what is to come? If it an affirmation to something you have been thinking about?

Remember, shadows are our friends. They are the light of spirit grabbing our attention.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Pay attention to what is grabbing your attention.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Having my friend Jody with us.

-Alex having friends visit her in Washington.

-Dinner and movie with hubby and friends.

-Happy Sis.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
