“Lookin’ For Love” (in part)

writer(s): Gordon Chambers, Gist, Terri E. Robinson, Lighty, E. Williams, Melvin Lewis

“And you came a knockin’ at my heart’s door
You’re everything I’ve been lookin’ for
There’s no more lookin’ for love
In all the wrong places
Lookin’ for love in too many faces
Searchin’ their eyes
Lookin’ for traces
Of what I’m dreamin’ of”

For your consideration…..

Love, like everything else, follows the law of attraction. You have to have it and share it to have it come back to you.

That sounds easy enough except that we can never really have complete love until we love ourselves. Real love, whole love, soul love has a foundation of self-love. So many of us find that hard to do. We don’t know where to begin. That ole’ Ego chirps in our ear with the “yeah buts.”

Well, here is the good news. Self-love is not as  hard as we think or as Ego would have us believe. All we have to do, is get silent and have that conversation with our Guidance, then let go. Our Guidance is available 24/7, ready and anxious to step up take our burden away for healing. But they can not do that without the free-will of our soul. Those burdens we call guilt, doubt, disappointment etc. are all about what is past. They serve no purpose. Our Guidance does not want us to carry them around lamenting on them. Our Guidance has only love and wants us to be love as well.

If we find we are missing love or our love is not as strong as we HOPE it will be, we are “looking for love in all the wrong places.” We need to look inward and partner with God and the Guidance system he has in place for us. It is free. We need only get silent.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Get silent and deepen your love foundation.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A nice graduation party for our nephew, Alex. Congratulations, Alex.

-Talking to my sis, Lori.

-A perfect day for an outdoor party.

-An early bedtime.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
