For your consideration…..

“I’m sorry” or “hello” are sayings that all too often we have put on automatic.

We often respond to a greeting without thinking let alone looking at the person the greeting is meant for.

“I’m sorry” is another overused phrased. It is like the little boy who cried wolf. It is so overused that it frequently loses its meaning. All too often an “I’m sorry” is only given after we realize we are in trouble. It is our get out of jail free card. If an apology has the word “but” or “you” in it, you can almost bet it is not authentic. It is insincere, meaningless and does more harm than good.

Today we are reminded, once again, that words carry energy. The energy we put behind them is what will actually make a difference. If we are not truly sorry, our words will not help heal. Instead they will add to the discord. If we are not sincere in our greeting, we make people feel invisible and/or unimportant.

It is the intention behind our words that make a difference. We are asked today to say only what we mean. Let our authentic self, not our ego, do the talking.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the  highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Use our words wisely.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A sleep in morning.

-A new vacuum.

-A happy dog….no thunder or fireworks.

-A good book.

-Tasks done that have been nagging me.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
