For your consideration..

When you receive bad service, what do you do? When you don’t like a restaurants food, what do you do? When you don’t like a hospital, doctor or practice, what do you do? When you have fundamental differences with an organization, what do you do? If a thug came to your door, would you let them in?

Here is the point. We are consumers. When we don’t like or disagree with something, we can choose to withdraw our business or support. It is no different with the media. If we withdraw our support by refusing to watch, read or listen to it, it has to change. The media gets its revenue by accruing viewer or listening participation. Think about it. How dare they give a thug a platform to come into our homes! We can bless them and wish them the very best but we do not have to have them in our sanctuaries.

We are not idiots. We do not need to be told something over and over and over again to get the message. We are asked today what this proliferation of bad news does for us? Where does it get us? Where are the winners?

I don’t think I am alone in the world thinking there is an abundance of good in the world. Why does that claim so little of the media’s reporting?

It is simple. We know this. If we spread negative energy, it is what will continue to come back to us. If we want good, we spread good and positive energy. This applies to not only us as individuals but everything including the companies, organizations and the media.

We need to be informed. We do not need to be indoctrinated or beat down with negative images and messages. And we don’t need them to give a platform to a thug and broadcast it into our homes.

Each of us has a choice. We always have a choice. We can see, hear or listen to sad or negative stories over and over. Or we can listen to them once, bless them and release asking for their healing. Then we can simply refuse to listen to the story again. If the news is playing it again, turn it off. It your internet provider keeps putting it up, don’t click on it. It is a waste of our time and energy. More than that, it is not good for us. We need to change our narrative.

There are some ways we can do that. If the media does not provide positive and wonderful news stories, we can find our own. We all know wonderful people. We all see kindness. We all can focus on these and spread their message. We can read wonderful books and articles that instill love, joy and HOPE. We can bring light wherever we go. We can chase away the darkness. We can heal the negative energy. We can withdraw our support and demand more from the media. We can demand they change their narrative. If they can not find a positive and wonderful story for every negative one, they are not doing their jobs.

We are being asked today….each and every one of us….to perpetuate the good and positive and stop the negative where it stands. Don’t let it spread past us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in as much fresh air as you can including at least 10 deep breaths.

-Walk barefooted on Mother Earth.

-Perpetuate positive energy.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Every time I think of Aunt Dorothy passing, I smile. She passed exactly how she wanted to. She told me so.

-A great morning at school.

-A wonderful afternoon and evening at Stillwater.

-We met out new Stillwater neighbor. Yeah.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
