For your consideration…….

So often, myself included, we ponder our “niche” in this life. Today’s message tells us that it is at once simple and complicated.

It can be complicated when we look for our life purpose. We wonder why we are here. What were we sent here to do? It is a just question and something we should all seek the answers to.  But as we search, let’s not be blind to what is right in front of us.

Each of us have opportunities dropped right in front of us each day to be who we are and use our special qualities to help our fellow-man and/or mother earth. It is easy for us to see the difference people in service to our country, nurses, teachers, clergy, firefighters, police officers etc. make. Their “niche” of service is clear. But even their profession of service is not “all” of who they are. They are not confined to servicing only in their profession.

All of us, them included,  have small niche moments put in our path where we can offer our authentic self in service of to others. Their is no shortage of niche opportunities presented to us. Consider them our warm ups for working our life purpose.

Finally, we are asked not to judge or “minimize” those seemingly small niche moments we work. We can not ever know the “pebble in the pond effect.” Our small is someone else’s big.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can do……

-Meditate/pray…ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Serve as the opportunity presents itself.

What made me smile yesterday……

-A good school day on my favorite teaching team.

-Every now and then we are given a comparison moment….it keeps us on track.

-My Sis, Lori, is out of the hospital.

-Alex is safe and sound. I wish I could say I was not worried but maybe that is not possible for a mother. I worried all day.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
