For your consideration……

It seems like right about now every year….towards the end of January….we start beating ourselves up. We’ve started the new year full of HOPE with a brand new or renewed list of resolutions. Often by now life as we new it on Dec. 31 at 11:59 has reappeared and reality that it did not change in one second has set in. We are doubting our resolve and potential.

Today we are told to “STOP IT” and let go of our self-doubt and fear. We CAN accomplish those resolutions and so much more if we don’t let them crowd out our HOPE.

How do we do that? We pause. We get still and remember that the Universe is constant and as one with it, so are we. When we have self-doubt and fear we are not in sync with the Universe. We have a little arrhythmia going on. By pausing,  getting still for even one second and focusing on our breath, we can recalibrate and take our very next breath one with the Universe. In that stillness, we can take our next breath together completely in sync with all that was, is and ever shall be.

It is that simple. We just need to remember that. Whenever we find ourselves frustrated, fearful, doubtful etc., we just need to give ourselves a momentary timeout. Maybe in the beginning we will find ourselves doing this often. That is great. It is all good. Soon we will have reprogrammed our thinking and we will find ourselves in sync with the constancy of the Universe.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…..ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?” Breathe in the next breath of the Universe in sync with her.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember the power of that one recalibrating breath.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Happy to get out of school. Wow….those 4th graders were tough  yesterday. Was it me I was thinking until I got into the hall and the other teachers were going, “They were terrible today. That goes to show you what can happen with a long weekend.” Note to self….I may want to avoid those days.

-Did I remember to mention yesterday that I was actually home when Alex called on Monday? It seems like everyone gets to actually talk to her but me these days so I was so happy.

-Wouldn’t you know it as soon as Bruce got back from the post office, our mail came and Alex’s contacts were in the mail? Good news is that I was off early and was able to pack them up and get them up to the post office. HOPEfully she will get both boxes at the same time and that her mail is back on schedule.

-An early bedtime.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
