“Always put your fears behind you and your dreams in front of  you.” unknown

For your consideration……

Today’s message is short and clear. It is potent but if you are like me, not always easy to follow.

Quite simply, fear is the absence of love, HOPE, joy and faith. For where they exist fear fades away.

We have all heard the saying, “A little bit goes a long way.”

Example, “A little bit of love goes a long way.” “A little bit of HOPE goes a long way.”

It is so true. When we apply a little bit of  love, HOPE, joy and/or faith, fear is diminished. When we completely apply them, fear is completely dismantled. Fear can not stand up to their light.

Bring your love, HOPE, joy and faith to each moment and let it dismantle your fears.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….ask…”Ask what is my next step for my  highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Bring your love, HOPE, joy and faith wherever you go.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Sun. It seems like we have had a lot of cloudy days. The sun was wonderful today.

-Last week or the week before I mentioned a Middle School where students do not stand for the “Pledge of Allegiance.” I talked about how this is the only school where this ever happens and I talked about how I addressed it talking about respect. Yesterday I was in the same school district but at a different middle school. During announcements they were asked to stand for the Pledge and, of course, they all did. When they were back seated, I talked to them about my experience at their sister school and how glad I was that they stood and what a sign of respect it is. I went on to talk about being citizens of the world and always showing respect wherever we are. I explained we stand not in reverence to another country. We stand in respect for the country’s people and our fellow human beings…..our brothers and sisters. Would you believe that this class gave me a round of applause? And just like that HOPE is restored.

-As I said this is our Christmas shopping weekend. I started last night.

-I love starting my weekend with a phone call with my sister, Lori.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris

Miss you, Dad
