For your consideration…..

One of the definitions Webster’s has for a miracle is “an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.”

I am not sure about you but I grew up thinking miracles were these huge bigger than life events that only happened to a few very lucky people. It wasn’t until I was expecting my first daughter, Shannon, that I starting questioning my thought process. I kept thinking, “With everything that could go wrong, how can a perfectly healthy baby be born?”  My family thought I was nuts. Healthy babies are born every day. But I was stuck in all of the details that had to come together to make this perfect child. And they did. And I started to rethink miracles.

No matter where I turn I can apply the same questions I had while being pregnant for Shannon. They can be applied on every living thing, every event, every thought and emotion. The orchestra of events that have to occur to make each moment is beyond our comprehension.

We receive miracles daily. Some we HOPE for. Some we don’t. Some we understand. Some we don’t. Some are big. Some are small. Some are unexpected. Some are. Whether we recognize them or not is dependent on our attitude. And like anything else, like attracts like. So as we recognize these big and small miracles. And as we welcome them with gratitude. We continue to attract more of the same.

It is my HOPE that each of us perpetuates our state of gratitude and has the clarity and wisdom to see and feel each miracle that comes our way.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, hope by hope action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate for as long as you can.

-Call a friend that has been on your mind.

-Step out of your comfort zone. Make the first move versus waiting for that invite.

-Breath deep at least 10 times outdoors.

-Journal or at least acknowledge what you are grateful for before you go to sleep and/or when you wake up.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Lunch with Kathy. It has been too long and it is always good to catch up.

-I called my friend, Pam, on a whim and finally made contact. Yeah.

-My niece’s blog. Her and my nephew are in Bulgaria where he is a missionary. Her blog is always funny. But now that she has her father-in-law there…well. I would laugh anyway but hearing my Sis, Lori, laugh just makes me giggle.

-And are you ready for the big one? SURPRISE. Alex, called and let us know she’d be home last evening  for a short visit. Long, short who cares? Dad took the vacuum upstairs and cleaned up the dead bugs in her room. I dusted we were ready. Yippee.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
