For your consideration……

We all have things we have said or done that we wish we wouldn’t have. We all keep secrets. We don’t go running around all of the time saying, “I’m not worthy.” or “I’m not a good person.” Most of us don’t advertise our faults. Instead we try to put our best image forward and that is how it should be. We should be projecting what is good.

So what is the problem? It is our own perception of ourselves. It is what we believe to be true of ourselves. We all learn from every aspect of life. Sometimes…..most times……we feel ok or even great about how we handled ourselves. Sometimes we are not happy. Perhaps we are even ashamed.

No matter how we handled ourselves, we learned. We earned our badge.

Today’s message tells us that there is no reason to “hold a grudge or shame” against ourselves. God does not make a mistake. He hears us the first time. If we ask for forgiveness with a sincere heart, it is given…….as soon as we ask. There is no reason to go on and on about it. If we find yourselves revisiting the lesson over and over, it is because we have not let it go. Our attitude about the lesson is faulty. We need to accept that all lessons are good. We are good. We need to let go of judgment.

Do you ever see the trees in late fall or winter that have lost all of their leaves except for those few that just won’t let go? Unlike most of the other leaves that turned a beautiful color and then fell gracefully and beautifully to the ground, there are a stubborn few that turned a beautiful and hung on.

We are asked today to let those things….secrets….that weigh our heart down fall gracefully away. They served their purpose and we no longer need them.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go of what weighs you down. Let go of anything that mars your spirit.

What made me smile yesterday……

-A great email from Alex.

-Talking with my cousins, Bob and Sue. I am so proud of them.

-Ahhhh, Stillwater.

-Stillwater had a big day…..a new laundry center and sofa. Wahoo.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
