For your consideration……

Ahhh…..the color guard is ushering in fall. The changing of the colors has started whether we are ready for it or not. I love summer so I always think of the fall colors as a gift from Mother Nature to us to convince us to change gears.

Fall is an opportunity for us to change gears with our perspective as well. We can pause with the changing colors and ask. “What is working for us and what isn’t?”

Whether it is relationships or situations, there is value in taking stock of it with fresh eyes and hearts. If it is not a win-win, why not? How could it change? Is is worth changing or do we just need to let it go?

Sometimes we think change as hard. But fall teaches us that there is a time for everything …..time for change and time to let go. It is all beautiful. It is all good.

“Turn! Turn! Turn!”
The Byrds

To everything – turn, turn, turn
There is a season – turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything – turn, turn, turn
There is a season – turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together

To everything – turn, turn, turn
There is a season – turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing

To everything – turn, turn, turn
There is a season – turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sow
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it’s not too late!

And that is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by  bit, piece by pieces, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……
-Meditate/pray….ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Go out into the colors and pause. What is working? What is a win-win? What needs to change? What needs to be let go?
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors. Relax. Play. Take in at least 10 deep breaths.
What made me smile yesterday…..
-Oh the perfect weather. Cool nights to sleep in and brilliant warm sun in the day.
-A fabulous and fascinating book. I am forcing myself not to read it until my writing is done for the day.
-Stuffed cabbage…..a good fall dish cooked in the crock pot so the kitchen didn’t get heated up.
-Hearing from Cathy. I shouldn’t laugh but Bruce and I can’t help it. The adventures of Berniece just continue. Ginger and I can soooooo relate.
-Great email from Alex.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
