For  your consideration……

“Try it, you don’t have to eat it all.” “Take just one bite and if you don’t like it you don’t have to eat it.” Do you remember your parents telling you that or maybe you have said the same thing to your children. When I was growing up, we had to eat everything on our plate before we could get seconds of something we liked. I never did that to my girls. My philosophy was that if I didn’t make a big deal of it they wouldn’t form a permanent opinion and would be more likely to try it in the future.

Of course, we are not talking of food today. That is just the analogy that is being used. But we are being encouraged to “try” new things….new paths. If it turns out we don’t like it, we don’t have to keep doing it. We can be grateful for the experience. Maybe the experience of trying was the purpose so that eventually we gain enough confidence to where we are comfortable stepping out of our comfort zone.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Step out of the box. Try something new.

-Create a bucket list.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Another great day of school. Who knew that the teacher I was teaming with was connected to so many people I know.

-Perfect weather.

-Alex made it back on the boat all safe and sound.

-Talking with Jackie and Jodie.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
