For your consideration…..

We have all hear the saying, “Can’t see the forest through the trees.” Those trees in our daily life are those ongoing scenarios that are in constant play. It is easy to get lost, confused or frustrated in the denseness of it all.

Today’s message is a little helpful hint. It reminds us that sometimes it is wise to remove ourselves from the forest and take a high level look to gain perspective. A high level look gives us a better view of all of the pieces in play. Perhaps from a high level we can see a new path, missing pieces or a different way to put them together.

It is easy to get so immersed in the moment and entrenched in a direction that we are immune to what else is around us needing to be put into play.

We are reminded that we can always hit pause….need to have pauses…..to take that high level look with fresh eyes coming from a different direction and angle.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Go play.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-What didn’t? It was a perfect day at Stillwater.

-The weather was perfect.

-I got a lot of writing done.

-I heard from both my girls.

-We had a fabulous dinner. As I was cleaning up, I was thinking of how we just have everything we need in this little writing shack we call Stillwater. We bought very little for it. We virtually furnished  it with things we had stored in our basement. My sister-in-law, Ginger and I often joke about how her parents just keep on giving. Every time one of the Aunts needed something, we pulled it from the basement. And we did the same with Stillwater. As I was washing a crockpot, I remembered that it had been my mother’s. I had been writing a lot about mom today and it was so ironic. It was like she was reminding me that she too contributed to Stillwater. I often say that our loved ones on the other side are so close. But there are definitely days where we….ourselves….feel them more. Today was one of those days where I felt my own mom present with me for much of the day. Thanks, Mom.

-The night was as beautiful as the day. We sat on the back deck visiting with our neighbors until 10:30.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
