For your consideration……

I don’t know about you but my Mom took no “yeah buts.” I have to admit that followed suit with my children. When I would just hold up my hands and say “No, I don’t want to hear it,” she would walk away angry. My youngest one was different. She would stand there and try to start over from every angle she could think of refusing to believe she would not be able to plead her case with a “yeah but.” Sometimes we would even end up laughing because she would start so many times and my response was always the same, “I don’t want to hear it. It makes zero difference to you and me. These are our rules.”

Every single person who breaks the law has a “yeah but.” Every person who is abusive has a “yeah but.” Every person who is lazy has a “yeah but” etc. etc. etc.

There are no “yeah buts” when it comes to our soul’s integrity and love. We know like we know like we know right from wrong. We feel it deep inside. Other people, government, organizations, the news etc. always have a “yeah but” to throw in and make us conform. Usually the “yeah buts” are in the form of guilt or entitlements.

Here’s the deal today about our message. We must hold on to our integrity and love in its purest form. Every time we give a piece of it away our light is a little dimmer. The world in this dimension demands….needs…… our full light. With compassion and grace our job is not to pull ourselves down by giving away pieces of our integrity to find common ground. It is to use our love and integrity to pull others up to meet higher expectations for the highest good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Speak and act with integrity and love.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Peanut and Shannon are having a great time on their softball vacation.

-Hearing from Alex when we had given up HOPE for the day.

-Watching AJ’s baseball game. Yikes a nail biter. Good job guys.

-Talking and laughing with Cathy.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
