For your consideration……

The new dimension will bring us back to balance. We have heard this many times. Usually our messages are encouraging, calling women to step up into their full power. This, of course, will change men’s roles. It changes the traditional Dad’s role. We may or may not recognize how far we have come. We need look no further than our own family.

In my own, I see my son-in-law, Will, who does it all just like my daughter, Shannon, does. They are full partners. They both work full-time. They both cook. They both do kitchen clean up. They both car pool. They both sit at games. They both work on homework. They are both full on full-time parents.

This is much different from when I grew up and perhaps you as well.

Do we still have dead beat Dads? Yes. Do we still have Dads working in the old paradigm role? Yes. But we also have all of these fabulous Dads working the new balanced role and for the most part loving it. They have been released from the old and are free to be the Dads they want to be.

Don’t you just love it?

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…ask “What would you have me do today for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate your Dad living or passed, your children’s Dad and Dads everywhere.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Mac’s softball game.

-A picture perfect day.

-Alex made it too Amelia.

-Shannon telling my how Will stopped in the middle of his work day to Facetimed with Mac who was upset because their beloved and aging dog, Gunner, could not stand up and she had been unable to help him. They worked it out. Gunner made it up and outdoors and then came back in through the doggie door on his own.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
