For your consideration…….

For over a week I have had a female cardinal tap on my windows. She does not fly into them. She comes and taps on them. If I am in my family room she taps on first one and then she will come and try to get my attention by tapping on another one. If I am in the kitchen, she comes and taps on it. For whatever reason, I was thinking that she was emphasizing a women’s retreat I was going to go and stressing to pay close attention which I did. I went to on retreat. It was wonderful and I did pay close attention. Ironically it was on fierce listening. Well, I’m back and so is my cardinal still demanding my attention. So today I did something different. I held her in my intent as I went into meditation.  And sure enough she is delivering a message.

Ted Andrews writes in Animal-Speak, “They remind us that regardless of the time of day or year, we always have the opportunity to renew our own vitality and recognize the importance of our own life roles.” Further, “In the case of the cardinal, the female joins in on the whistling, which is unusual among birds. This reflects that we should be listening to the inner voice (the feminine) more closely for our own health and well-being. Since most female birds usually are quiet and camouflaged, a cardinal totem almost always reflects a need to assert the feminine aspects of creativity and intuition more strongly.”

This persistent cardinal goes straight to the heart of many of the messages we have been receiving encouraging all women and most especially women in the free world to stand up and assume full command of their power. We do not need permission. We do not need any more discussion. Please, do not patronize us. We do not need for the “for the world to be ready”. The world is ready. It is demanding it. It can not change until women demand it. We are being asked to stand up and take ownership to the highest level of our capability. We are being asked to honor our sacred life purpose.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…..ask….be specific….where do you want me today. Show me what you want me to do.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Acknowledge your importance. Live up to it.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-I had a wonderful retreat with amazing women.

-A beautiful sunshiny day with some warmer temps.

-A great email from Alex.

-Great insight.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
