For your consideration…….

In the story of Little Lord Fauntleroy by Frances Hodgson Burnett an English lord searches for and finds his grandson after his other heirs have passed away. Little Lord Fauntleroy, Cedric, lived in America with his mother in genteel poverty since the passing of his father, Captain Errol. The Earl hates America and is very resentful that his youngest son had married an American. He tries to buy her off to help convince her that Cedric should come live with him and “learn” to be an aristocrat and ultimately Earl. Cedric’s mother refuses the money but allows the Earl to take Cedric even though the Earl will not allow her to come also. Ultimately it is the Earl who is taught by Cedric what it truly means to be an aristocrat and what that responsibility means and his mother is brought to England. Cedric taught the Earl compassion by always believing the Earl to be a good and kind man.

Our lesson today is to suspend judgement and have compassion. Cedric’s innocence recognized the buried goodness and innocence of his grandfather. By staying his course and never judging, his grandfather’s own  was allowed to be set free. Remember, in energy like attracts like.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate/pray…..connect with your core essence…..your authentic self……and let it lead your way.

-Drink lots of water…..at least half of your body weight.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Suspend judgement…..and be good to yourself and others.

What made me smile yesterday……..

-My neighbor, Scott, at Stillwater noticed I was there and snow blowed me out.

-A slow ride home on slippery roads but everyone with maybe 3 exceptions just drove slow and left lots of space between vehicles for stopping.

-A rainbow….no rain….but a rainbow. Wow.

-My toasty blanket that I got for Christmas.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
